Charlie Winston and his vocal ensemble

Romantic

Charlie Winston is a British singer-songwriter known for his musical universe blending folk, pop and blues. Revealed internationally with the song Like a Hobo, he has performed on major European stages and festivals, as well as in emblematic venues in France and the United Kingdom.

Born in 1978, he develops an expressive and organic singing style, carried by his distinctive voice and a very personal songwriting approach. Charlie Winston evolves under his own artistic direction, at the heart of a musical project that he has shaped himself since the beginning.

For La Nuit des Chœurs, he will be accompanied by his vocal ensemble. He will present his most well-known musical works, specially rearranged for La Nuit des Chœurs in an acoustic approach.

The Choir of Saint-Cyr

Heritage and tradition

The Saint-Cyr Choir is a French vocal ensemble from the Saint-Cyr Coëtquidan Military Academy, recognized for its powerful collective singing blending tradition, heritage repertoire and contemporary arrangements. Composed of officer cadet singers, the group revealed itself to the general public by winning the television show “La France a un incroyable talent” in 2021, after remarkable performances on major television and event stages in several countries.

Born within the Military Academy, this choir performs under the musical direction of its choir director, Paul.

For La Nuit des Chœurs, the Saint-Cyr Choir will present a program directly inspired by the republican tradition or more simply by French popular song.

Nostalgie

Voxford is a Croatian vocal ensemble specialized in a cappella singing and pop harmonies. Voxford revisits great international classics with modern and precise choral writing. Revealed through millions of views on social media and recognized by several major figures of the Croatian music scene, Voxford is today establishing itself as one of the most prominent a cappella groups of its generation in the Balkans.

For La Nuit des Chœurs, the group will present a tribute to The Beatles in a fully vocal, dynamic and contemporary version, carried by the richness of harmonies and the energy of collective singing.

Corsican polyphony

A FILETTA

A Filetta is a major ensemble of Corsican polyphonic singing, recognized for its style blending insular oral tradition and contemporary creation. Founded in 1978 in Balagne, the group established itself on the international scene thanks to the expressive power of its a cappella singing and the richness of its artistic collaborations, such as Bruno Coulais, Grand Corps Malade or Paolo Fresu & Daniele di Bonaventura. It has performed in emblematic venues such as the Philharmonie de Paris and at festivals such as Les Musicales de Redon or at the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels, as well as in many heritage sites in Corsica.

For La Nuit des Chœurs, A Filetta will offer an immersion in Corsican polyphony, between memory, spirituality and collective emotion, carried by the strength and depth of vocal singing.

Catalan rumba and flamenco

Chico and the Gypsies (ex-Gipsy Kings)

The Gipsy Kings are an emblematic group of the international music scene, recognized for their style blending rumba flamenca, pop and gypsy music. Founded at the end of the 1970s, the collective established itself on the greatest stages in the world, from the Hollywood Bowl to major European venues, with cult songs such as Bamboléo or Djobi Djoba.

Carried by male voices and a set of virtuoso guitars, the group develops a festive and sunny singing style inspired by Andalusian traditions.

For La Nuit des Chœurs, the universe of Chico and the Gypsies will be revisited in an acoustic version through all the best-known musical works that have made the reputation of the group.

Mezzotono

Great classics

Mezzotono is an Italian vocal ensemble renowned for its a cappella style blending jazz and musical humor. Founded in Bari in the early 2000s, the group has performed on numerous international stages and vocal festivals in Europe and Asia, captivating audiences with its virtuosity and its sense of performance.

The formation is composed of five singers replacing instruments entirely with the voice. Mezzotono develops a precise, rhythmic and highly theatrical polyphonic singing style. The group was created under the impulse of the singer and musician Fabio Lepore, who is at the origin of the artistic project and its musical direction.

For La Nuit des Chœurs, Mezzotono will present a fully vocal performance composed of works from the Italian popular tradition and more broadly from the international repertoire.
